Spendbase provides an auto-save feature while creating or editing workflows to prevent loss of work.
- Auto-save Mechanism: Any changes made to a workflow are automatically saved as a draft with a 2-second time lag. This ensures your work is always backed up.
- Draft Status: While in draft mode, the workflow is not visible to requesters and cannot be used for submitting requests.
- Manual Save Option: You can manually save and leave your progress by clicking the Save & Leave button or simply by clicking X at any point. This is useful when working on larger, more complex workflows where frequent auto-saving might not capture everything.
NOTE: users can only edit unpublished approval flows so don't worry about ongoing requests on the workflow because the workflow is supposed to be unpublished first thus and becomes inactive. Details are in the next articles about publishing and workflow versioning
